For one week only, the incredible Japanese cast of Six the Musical will take over London’s Vaudeville Theatre from 4–9 November. The entire show will be performed entirely in Japanese, marking a truly unique and historic moment for the production.

For these talented performers, bringing Six to the West End is a dream come true — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their work on one of the world’s most iconic stages.

On Wednesday 23 October, I attended an exclusive press event on behalf of Musical Theatre Review, where I joined producer Kenny Wax and writers Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss to learn more about how this exciting international collaboration came to life.

What makes this production particularly special is its casting structure. In most versions of Six, there are six principal queens supported by understudies and swings. However, for this Japanese production, there are two full casts of queens — twelve performers in total — offering audiences a rare chance to see multiple interpretations of these iconic roles.

Meet the Queens

  • Catherine of Aragon – Sonim

  • Anne Boleyn – Maho Minamoto & Meimi Tamura

  • Jane Seymour – Harumi

  • Anna of Cleves – Eliana & Marie Sugaya

  • Katherine Howard – Airi Suzuki & Erika Toyohara

  • Catherine Parr – Ruki Saito & Sora Kazuki

Catch these sensational queens from 4–9 November at the Vaudeville Theatre — you’re in for a royal treat!
